A Day in The Life of a Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and a repair of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other physical structures. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facilities mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Perform maintenance on facility equipment, including high voltage test equipment and systems

  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventory by checking stock to determine appropriate inventory levels

  • Prepare mechanical maintenance reports

  • Record and process findings of maintenance duties on maintenance log

  • Identify root cause of problems by observing mechanical devices in operations

Education & Experience

  • High school degree or equivalent required

  • 5 years of service and maintenance of electric machinery required

  • 2 years of facility repair and maintenance experience required

  • 2 years of handling high voltage test equipment required; 5 years preferred

Skills & Requirements

  • Proficient in mechanical calibration

  • Ability to read and work from blueprints and sketches

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods

The expected salary range for this role is $49,800- $74,700. This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s compensation level within the range will be based on several factors, including but not limited to geographic location, experience, relevant education, qualifications, skills, organizational needs, and performance.
